Washington D.C. Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency Offers Media Programming on Criminal Justice Issues

Federal parole and probation agency provides information via radio, television and blogs
The D.C. Public Safety television series, hosted by Leonard Sipes, Senior Public Affairs Specialist/Social Media Manager for the Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency (CSOSA), is just one of the informative programs offered. CSOSA offers videos on a wealth of topics pertaining to the criminal justice system, including women offenders, faith-based initiatives, interagency cooperation, and education, vocational and employment issues. Produced by Timothy Barnes, the videos are approximately 30 minutes long and well made.

CSOSA also hosts a radio show that recently covered Our Place,a successful reentry resource center for women in the D.C. area. (See the Reentry Central article Female Reentry in Washington, D.C. 10/1/10) In addition to the television and radio shows, CSOSA blogs are also available. Transcripts of all programs and blogs can be obtained.
